Mr. Justice Dr. Syed Muhammad Anwar, Chief Justice Federal Shariat Court interacts with Judges of Family Courts on Reconciliation in Family Courts Cases

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Judicial Academy (KPJA), with the approval of the Hon'ble Peshawar High Court, conducted a webinar on Friday, October 23, 2026. Mr. Justice Dr. Syed Muhammad Anwer, Honourable Chief Justice of the Federal Shariat Court, focused on formalizing procedural mechanisms under Section 10(3) and Section 10(4) of the Family Courts Act, 1964 in accordance with Shariah principles. 

Senior Director Research & Publications at KPJA moderated the online activity while it was attended by the Dean Faculty and Director Instructions-II and all the Family Court Judges, across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Throughout the hour-long session, participants engaged in detailed discussions and shared practical judicial feedback and recommendations regarding the institutionalization of Shariah-compliant amicable conciliation (Sulh). At the conclusion of the event, the KPJA, on behalf of all participating judges, expressed deep gratitude and appreciation to Mr. Justice Dr. Syed Muhammad Anwer for sparing his valuable time and enriching the provincial judiciary with his knowledge and experience.
